Disney World’s Best Sweet Treats
While Disney World is the most magical place on earth it is also the best place to score some sweet treats. If you have an incurable sweet tooth you will love Disney World even more. Each park boasts its own sweet treats that guests indulge in every day.
In Downtown Disney you can treat yourself to the Brownie Cream Sandwich at the Earl of Sandwich shop. This cold sweet treat consists of two of the thickest brownies you will ever see with your choice of peanut butter, chocolate or vanilla cream in the middle.
At the Animal Kingdom Lodge you can try out the Zebra Domes. Your kids probably won’t want this one, as it is a combination of Kahlua and coffee flavor. You may enjoy this sweet treat that starts out as a gooey plain white treat with chocolate stripes on it. This dessert/snack option can be found at both the food court at the Animal Kingdom Lodge as well as its buffet restaurant called Boma.
Beaches & Cream is a Disneyworld soda shop that you will find tucked in between the Disney Yacht Club and the Beach Club Resort. Here you can treat yourself to a dessert called No Way Jose. It is served in a large bowl with both vanilla and chocolate ice cream as well as hot fudge sauce and peanut butter. The toppings that come on it are whipped cream and both peanut butter and chocolate chips.
At the Epcot Center Future World you will find Sunshine Seasons, where you can get a delicious Strawberry Shortcake. This snack uses vanilla shortcake topped with fresh strawberries and is an overwhelming favorite among Disneyworld guests.
In Epcot Center you will also find the Kringla Bakeri og Kafe in the Norway section of the park. Here you will find the delicious School Bread, which is more like a donut filled with cream than actual bread. The cream is coconut custard and many Disneyworld guests rave about this popular sweet treat.
At Hollywood Studios you can treat your sweet tooth to the Carrot Cake Cookie at The Writer’s Stop. This unique treat is a hybrid of cake and cookies and is actually a cake sandwich that consists of two cookies with cake wrapped around them and topped with icing made of cream cheese.
For a tropical, fruity treat you can head to the Epcot Center of Magic Kingdom for the Dole Whip, or you can get it at the Polynesian Resort. The Dole Whip is a soft serve dessert that is pineapple flavored. Depending on the time of the year you are visiting you may be able to get the Dole Whip at the Epcot Center with some rum added to it.
This is only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the many sweet treats that Disney World has to offer. Whether you are looking to satisfy your sweet tooth at one of the parks or its many resorts you will always find tasty treats.
