LEGOLAND Florida

Florida’s LEGOLAND opened in Winter Haven in 2011, and is the second largest of the LEGOLAND parks in the world. The park is located less than an hour away from Disney World and has dozens of rides, live shows, and fun for younger kids; aged 2 -12 specifically. However, older children can still enjoy the park. The park is divided into themed zones, each with their own unique features.

Miniland USA

Miniland USA lets you see some of the USA’s most famous landmarks. It is divided into different regions. New York City features the Statue of Liberty, Times Square, and the Empire State Building. While Washington D.C. has a replica of the White House, Washington Monument, and Jefferson Memorial. And of course, since you’re in Florida, you need to have an area dedicated to Florida where you’ll find the Kennedy Space Center, the Florida Keys, and the Everglades.

Shows

The park runs several shows, some each day, and some for special occasions.

Help keep the pirates away from Pirate Cove is a fun, action packed show, with high-speed boat and jet-ski adventures. On the weekends kids can learn all about fire safety in a fun way, but be warned if you sit in the first three rows you’ll get wet! There are also three 4D shows with wizards, kings, and mystical heroes.

LEGO Kingdoms

Lego Kingdoms is dedicated to medieval times. Here you can take part in a simulated joust, tackle Merlin’s Challenge or tame the Dragon Coaster. There is also a fun rope, slide, and tree climb here. In the marketplace kids will get the chance to turn into a real prince or princess. It’s also the place to eat burger and fries at Castle Burger.

Land of Adventure

Dinosaurs, animals, and laser blasts can all be found in the Land of Adventure section. Fight off Egyptian mummies with laser blasts while in search of treasure in this cool, glow in the dark ride. Staying with the Egyptian theme is Pharaoh’s Revenge, a maze and foam ball firing party. If it’s elephants, tigers, and lions the kids want, then they’ll love exploring the savannah of the Safari Trek in their very own camouflaged jeep. For food, you’ll find Waffle Spears and their dangerously good chocolate dipped waffles on a stick and the BBQ Pit for wholesome BBQ food, including pulled pork and coleslaw.

LEGO City

This kid friendly town is full of super fun ‘grown-up’ activities, just for kids. Ford Driving School lets kids take the driver’s seat in their very own LEGO car. After their drive kids get their very own LEGOLAND driver’s license. There’s a junior version for the youngest kids in the family. One of the most thrilling rides in the park is Flying School, a suspended roller coaster that makes you feel like you’re really flying. At the Boating School kids will get to take charge of their very own boat. For food, you’ll find a well stocked snack bar and tasty buckets of fried chicken.
